Chemistry, then the slab, then the air at the door
This page explains the systems. It does not quote a two car special.
This is an independent referral guide. It connects homeowners with independent providers and may receive compensation. It is not a licensed contractor and it does not do the work.
Three names you will hear
Epoxy is a common build coat and is particular about moisture and temperature while it cures. Polyaspartic is often a fast topcoat or a full system and is used where sun at the door would yellow a softer top. Polyurea is a fast, flexible chemistry in some systems. Flake color is a broadcast, not a chemistry by itself.
Other companies publish national price ranges. Those are not quotes from this guide and they are not an Oceanside average. Ordinary one car garages and large workshops are different scopes. Ask for the written system.
Salt, humidity, and the test
South Oceanside and Fire Mountain take more salt air with the door open. That is wear on the surface. The bond fails more often because vapor is moving through the slab. Ask for a moisture test and for the product limit that test is compared with.
A coating on an existing slab is often finish work. If the job includes a new slab or a drain, confirm the Building Division. Do not assume every floor job is permit free, and do not assume a paint project needs a structural permit.

Describe the garage
Say the neighborhood, one bay or more, and whether a coating is already peeling.
